Chico Area Recreation & Park District Programs and Activities include special events such as Kite Day, the Rose Garden Party, and An Evening in Paris: Inclusive Prom. The Inclusive Social Club (formerly Teen and Young Adult Hangout) is a welcoming, judgement-free hangout for kids, teens, and young adults of all abilities to connect, have fun, and build friendships. The Inclusive Social Club’s stated goal is to create a space where everyone feels included, supported, and excited to participate no matter their interests, communication style, or support needs. Kite Day is described as CARD’s annual event and a Chico tradition with hundreds of colorful and creative kites in the air. CARD’s Play Guide lists a wide variety of sports, classes, camps, and special events for all ages.
