CVC San Diego Triathlon Youth Mini and Itsy Bitsy Triathlons

CVC San Diego Triathlon Youth Mini and Itsy Bitsy Triathlons includes Youth Mini Triathlon and Itsy Bitsy Triathlon events that feature swim, bike, and run segments. The program also takes place alongside a Mini Triathlon for youth and adults, an Itsy Bitsy Triathlon for kids, a triathlon, duathlon, AquaBike, and a 5K run/walk. All participants receive a finisher’s medal, event shirt, and access to the post-race garden.

This event is USA Triathlon sanctioned. It is event #2 of the San Diego Triathlon Series and is part of the Triple Crown of Triathlon. It is also part of the San Diego Triathlon Series points competition, which includes six triathlons to earn points. It is the second race in the Triple Crown, and completing the Spring Sprint Triathlon, this event, and the Mission Bay Triathlon earns the Triple Crown Award. The course is described as a scenic coastal course with calm water and no hills. Free Triathlon 101 classes, triathlon training and transition clinics, and free triathlon training clinics listed on a Meetup page are offered. The event includes a Margarita Bar with chips and salsa and beer from Seek Beer Co. The triathlon is described as being designed for a whole day of fun for racers, friends, and families. Volunteer opportunities are available. The event is being held by Life Sports Foundation.
