Rockin' Robbie's Music Lessons offers music lessons that include piano, guitar, drums, woodwinds, and brass. Lessons take place within a full-service music store environment that also includes instruments, rentals, repairs, and accessories. The program is supported by a staff of teaching musicians who provide instruction on multiple instruments.

Rockin’ Robbie’s Music Emporium was started by Robin Eig on Friday, October 13, 1995, and has been active in the East Bay since 1995. By 2009, Robin had added retail, music lessons, and repair services to the original wholesale business. Robin is described as the boss-lady extraordinaire and has been in the music business for over 30 years.
Robin Eig graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and worked as a high school and elementary school band director. Another instructor, Jeff, has been playing saxophone for over 15 years, flute and clarinet for 10 years, and has been teaching lessons for over 10 years. Jeff holds a Master’s degree in Saxophone Performance from the University of Nevada, Reno and a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Studies from CSU Northridge, and has adjudicated Classical and Jazz Nevada All-State saxophone auditions, given clinics at local schools, run master classes, and taught saxophone technique and improvisation for Hayward La-Honda Music Camp. He has been featured as a guest artist at the Elko Jazz Festival, has performed with groups including the John Daversa Sextet, Kelly Park Big Band, Rory Snyder Big Band, Reno Jazz Syndicate, and Reno Jazz Orchestra, and is a current member of the Purple Ones Prince tribute band.
Rockin’ Robbie’s operates as a pair of full-service music stores with a flagship store in Concord and a second location in El Cerrito, formerly known as El Cerrito Music Works. The stores carry a diverse selection of musical instruments, including guitars, basses, amps, and school band and orchestra instruments, and have a large fleet of school band and orchestra instruments available for rent and for sale. They maintain a repair department for band and orchestra instruments, guitars, basses, amps, and electronics. The program and stores offer in-store, online, curbside, delivery, and contact-less pickup options and are authorized dealers for brands including Fender, Ibanez, Yamaha, Conn-Selmer, Bach, Jupiter, Pearl, Adams, and Gemeinhardt.
