Ultimate Sports Connection Camps and Classes offers activities such as Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp, gymnastics camps, recreational gymnastics, competitive gymnastics, tumbling and acrobatics, and adult classes. Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp is specifically designed for children aged 3–5 who are potty trained. Ultimate Sports Connection states the vision “to guide each athlete as they uncover and cultivate their unique strengths and talents through commitment to high caliber training, safety, and sportsmanship,” and notes that it was established to develop strength in both the mind and body of today’s youth through sports, while cultivating self-confidence and discipline to better serve and engage with the community around them.
The program is co-owned and led by Head Coaches Abra Slater and Monica L. Subieta. Abra Slater holds several USAG certifications, including Meet Director and Safety, and is CPR certified. Monica Subieta holds USAG certifications in Junior Olympic Team Coaching, Safety and Risk Management, SafeSport, Pre-school Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction and Skill Evaluation, and is also certified in CPR.
Ultimate Sports Connection notes features such as onsite owners and management, skilled and experienced coaches, fun and skill-focused classes, wide gymnastics experience, and a safe, fun, and clean environment in a spacious, climate-controlled facility with state-of-the-art equipment. The facility is described as an exciting, welcoming environment where all experiences are welcome, with the motto “Unity | Strength | Character,” and high volume call times between 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
The program has been recognized as the Best Gymnastics Center in Bay Point, California, and its Spirit Of The Flame competition is described as an internationally known gymnastics competition in its 19th year. Abra is involved in local communities through participation in multiple Muscular Dystrophy events and founded the Hawaii Gymnastics Foundation, whose mission was to further, and make affordable to all, the sport of gymnastics, and she is also the founder and director of Spirit Of The Flame.
Parent feedback includes comments that coaches, owners, and staff care and are very friendly and knowledgeable, that the gym is very clean and well organized with a notable ratio of kids to coaches, and that teachers are wonderful and the owners are very on top of things.
