Ultimate Sports Connection

Ultimate Sports Connection offers activities such as Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp, gymnastics camp, recreational gymnastics, competitive gymnastics, tumbling, acrobatics, and open gym time. The Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp includes fine arts and learning activities focused on singing, music, dancing, shapes, numbers, colors, and letters, along with snack and story time (reading). The program also offers partner cheer programs, year-round classes, weekly and Saturday camps, events and parties, Kids' Night In, Parents Night Out, birthday parties, open gyms for young kids and adults, school field trips, corporate team building, special events, adult classes, and a home school P.E. trial class.

• Schedule: Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp meets daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm as a three-hour program, with additional facility hours available Monday–Saturday.
• Price: USC members receive a 10% discount for Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp.

Tiny Tumblers Preschool Summer Camp is specifically designed for children aged 3–5 who are potty trained. Ultimate Sports Connection operates in a 23,000+ square foot, clean, spacious, climate-controlled facility with state-of-the-art equipment and is described as an exciting, welcoming environment with a safe, fun, and clean environment and something for the whole family. The program notes that all experiences are welcome and highlights onsite owners and management, skilled and experienced coaches, fun, skill-focused classes, wide gymnastics experience, amazing camps, and the themes Unity | Strength | Character.

Ultimate Sports Connection lists its vision as guiding each athlete as they uncover and cultivate their unique strengths and talents through commitment to high caliber training, safety, and sportsmanship, and states that it was established to develop strength in both the mind and body of today’s youth through sports while cultivating self-confidence and discipline to better serve and engage with the community around them. The program is described as the Best Gymnastics Center in Bay Point, California and as seen on Facebook, Yelp, Visit Concord and more.

The leadership team includes co-owners and head coaches Abra Slater and Monica L. Subieta. Coaches are described as skilled, experienced, highly experienced, positive, and safety-focused. Abra Slater holds several USAG certifications, including Meet Director and Safety, and is CPR certified, has worked with several Olympic coaches (Dick Mulvihill, Linda Metheny, and Mark Young), is an award-winning choreographer, and is the founder and director of Spirit Of The Flame, an internationally known gymnastics competition in its 19th year. Monica Subieta holds USAG certifications in Junior Olympic Team Coaching, Safety and Risk Management, SafeSport, Pre-school Fundamentals, Fundamentals of Gymnastics Instruction and Skill Evaluation, and is also certified in CPR.

Community involvement includes Abra’s participation in multiple Muscular Dystrophy events and her role as founder of the Hawaii Gymnastics Foundation, whose mission was to further, and make affordable to all, the sport of gymnastics. Parent feedback includes comments that coaches, owners, and staff care and are very friendly and knowledgeable; that the gym is very clean and well organized with a great ratio of kids to coaches; and that teachers are described as wonderful and the owners as very on top of things.
