The City of Coronado Aquatics Programs includes Lap Swim, Family Swim, Water Exercise, City-Provided Swim Lessons, and a Junior Lifeguard Program. City-provided swim lessons follow Red Cross Learn-to-Swim guidelines, and private swim lessons are available.
Programs
- Lap Swim — Posted lap swim hours include Monday evenings 6:00-7:00 pm; Tuesdays and Thursdays 6:30 pm-8:30 pm; Saturday, October 10, 9:30-11:00 am; Thursday, October 15, 11:00 am-1:00 pm; Saturday, October 24, 9:30-11:00 am; Saturday, October 31, 7:30-10:00 am
- Family Swim — Offered in the recreation pool; current calendar shows Fri, Oct. 9 and Sat, Oct. 10 sessions
- Water Exercise — AquaFit classes are held seven days a week at various times; GentleFit is available on Tuesdays and Fridays
- City-Provided Swim Lessons — Held on various days throughout the week in both the morning and afternoon · Private swim lessons are available. Curriculum follows Red Cross Learn-to-Swim guidelines.

About the provider
The City of Coronado Aquatics Division states that it is dedicated to providing a variety of aquatics programs to the community in a safe, clean, and friendly environment. It also states that it is dedicated to enhancing the health, fitness, and aquatics knowledge of all guests who use the facility.
Registration for same-day water exercise classes throughout the month is available online, over the phone, or in person. Daily drop-ins for these classes are first-come, first-served. City-provided swim lessons require registration online or over the phone with the Community Center front desk at 619-522-7342 prior to the first day of the session. Notifications are available for pool closures, chemical imbalances, equipment updates, and more by phone number or email address.
