Fryer Basketball Academy offers training sessions, camps, clinics, club teams, lessons, tournaments, leagues, private lessons, and individual and group training. Players take part in activities such as shooting instruction, free throws, mid-range jumpers, three-point shots, shooting off the move, shooting off-the-dribble, stationary shots, passing, dribbling, ball-handling, defense, quickness and agility, and teamwork. The program includes Summer Basketball Camps, Winter Basketball Camps, a Winter Developmental League, and a Winter Shooting Clinic with Jeff Fryer, along with seasonal club and skills programs.

Fryer Basketball Academy states its mission as transforming the lives of youth using basketball as a catalyst to build character. The organization operates as FBA Academy, a non-profit 501 c 3 organization for its teams and skills sessions, with the stated goal of servicing the community and providing amateur athletes opportunities to excel in competition on a local and/or national platform. The camp staff includes current professional basketball players, coaches, and college players, and special guest appearances are made, including coaches such as Paul Westhead, a former NBA championship coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, who was featured at one of their camps.

The leadership team includes Jeff Fryer, Paul Westhead, and Erik Spoelstra. Jeff Fryer is the record holder for most 3-point field goals made in an NCAA Tournament game with 11 against the University of Michigan in 1990 and is a former all-time leader for most 3-point field goals made in an NCAA college basketball career with 363 made 3-point shots. His credentials also include a 10-year professional basketball career, induction into the Loyola Marymount University and West Coast Conference Sports Hall of Fame, being a Corona Del Mar High School graduate and leading scorer in Orange County in his junior and senior years, and being honored at the Sweet Sixteen game during halftime of Wichita State–LaSalle on March 28, 2013, at Staples Center as part of a select group recognized as the “Best of Los Angeles College Basketball” for the 75th anniversary of the NCAA Tournament. One stated unique feature of the program is coaching by what the program describes as the most successful 3-point shooter in NCAA college basketball playoff history, along with a model program for young kids to learn values and disciplines from the game of basketball.
