About
Sai's Seedlings offers care and learning time in a very open space where children can play freely. The program includes a soft quiet room set up for babies to crawl or learn how to walk. The program uses comprehensive, personalized instruction and follows specific early education guidelines and frameworks.
• Ages: 6 weeks–2 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30am–5:00pm
The mission of Sai's Seedlings is to build strong connections with children and to see them grow while they are in a safe and playful environment. The program states that children build relationships with their teachers and peers and work on achieving their milestones.
The leadership team includes Ms. Vivian Jacinto as Director and Teacher, along with teachers Ms. Atziry, Mrs. Isabel, Ms. Lupita, and Ms. Marleen. Ms. Vivian has worked professionally in Early Childhood Education for eight years and has worked with children and families for a decade. She has an Associate’s degree in Child Development and a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Sonoma State, and she states that she will be receiving her Master’s in Early Education from Sonoma State in the fall.
Sai's Seedlings uses guidelines from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The program also uses the California Department of Education’s California Preschool Learning Foundations and California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks. It promotes the use of Developmentally Appropriate Practices, including approaches that can be applied to tools such as Montessori, Reggio Emilia, Waldorf, project-based, play-based, cooperative, and spiritual-based methods. Developmentally Appropriate Practice is described by the program as an approach to teaching grounded in research on how young children develop and learn and in what is known about effective early education.
The program offers fresh fruits and vegetables for the children. It makes its own purees from fresh fruits and vegetables and provides nutritious snacks based on age groups.
