Leapstart De Anza Location, 10594 S De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, CA 95014
About
Leapstart's Artistic Expression Arts Studio is a five-day immersive art camp for children ages 4.5–11, designed with age-appropriate projects and guided participation. This studio-style experience encourages children to explore visual art through multiple mediums—helping them build skills, confidence, and a personal creative voice.
A Studio Approach to Creativity
Campers experiment, observe, and create in a relaxed yet structured environment. The emphasis is on exploration rather than perfection, allowing each child to discover how they like to express ideas through art.
What Campers Will Explore
Painting & Color Play
Experiment with color mixing, brush techniques, shading, and texture to create expressive paintings.
Drawing & Illustration
Develop sketching skills using pencils, pastels, and charcoal while learning proportion, detail, and visual storytelling.
Texture & Mixed Media
Combine paper, fabric, natural elements, and recyclables to produce layered, tactile artwork.
Sculpting & 3D Art
Work with clay and other materials to transform ideas into three-dimensional creations.
Design & Creative Crafts
Explore patterns, symmetry, and simple design principles through thoughtful craft projects.
More Than Art Skills
Beyond technique, campers practice patience, problem-solving, and creative decision-making. Group projects and shared studio time encourage collaboration while still honoring individual expression.
Art Exhibition Finale
The week concludes with a gallery-style showcase where children proudly display selected pieces for family and friends—celebrating effort, growth, and creativity.
Artistic Expression Arts Studio offers children the time, space, and encouragement to explore art deeply—leaving with skills they've developed and artwork they're proud to share.
