Lumine Academy offers art classes where students take part in activities such as scribbling, drawing, painting, watercolor painting, oil painting, plein air painting, sculpture, handicrafts, design, illustration, digital media art, sketching, costume making, anime style digital illustration, fiber arts, material exploration, and storytelling, and they also discover famous masterpieces. Classes include options where students learn to draw using basic shapes, explore different materials, practice observational skills, and engage in self-expression.

Lumine Academy offers several specific class formats, including Scribble Magic for ages 3.5–5, ArtVentures for ages 5–7, Artistic Intrigue for ages 8–10, a Young Artist program for students aged 11 and older, and a Drawing/Sketch Foundation class for students aged 8 and older. Scribble Magic, ArtVentures, Artistic Intrigue, and Drawing/Sketch Foundation each meet once a week for 1.5 hours, and the Young Artist program meets once a week for 2 hours. The program offers a free trial class. For children aged 3.5–5, there is a hands-on workshop that encourages experimentation with various materials, and for ages 5–7 there is a hands-on art program that combines guided activities and free exploration. Specialized art classes for ages 8–10 focus on foundational art skills and problem-solving, the Young Artist Program for students aged 11 and older provides art techniques to begin building their own art portfolios, and the Drawing/Sketch Foundation class emphasizes observation, problem-solving, and composition while preparing students for future art practice. The program states a focus on nurturing creativity, building self-confidence, enriching children’s lives through art, and emphasizes interest-driven learning and providing a safe and supportive space where children feel comfortable sharing their ideas.

Lumine Academy’s mission is to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment where children can explore their creativity, cultivate their artistic talents, and develop a lifelong passion for the arts, drawing from the meaning of “illuminate” to shed light on the unique abilities and potential within each child. The mission also states that artistic expression goes beyond aesthetics and has the power to ignite curiosity, foster self-expression, and unlock imagination.

The leadership team includes Ms. Aiwen as Sketch and Painting Program Lead, Ms. Ying as Curriculum Director, and Ms. Emily as 5–7 Level Curriculum Lead. Teaching staff include Ms. Aiwen, who has been teaching adults and kids since 2015, holds a BFA from the Academy of Art University, specializes in drawing and painting, and has artwork selected in numerous juried art shows with awards including the De Young Museum's Opening 2023 show, the Celebrating California show from the California Art Club, the Capitola Plein Air Competition, and the Iconic California show hosted by the Coastal Art League gallery, with artworks collected by many art collectors nationally. Ms. Ying has over 15 years of teaching experience, graduated from the Xi'an Academy of Fine Arts, spent three years as a university instructor working with advanced art programs and preparatory classes for art school entrance exams, and focuses on watercolor and oil painting with a strong background in sculpture. Ms. Emily is the 5–7 Level Curriculum Lead and has four years of experience as an art teacher. Ms. Jean has 8 years of teaching experience, holds a BFA from Queensland College of Art in Australia, and has taught at various international schools and art institutions. Ms. Sixan holds an MFA in Illustration from the Fashion Institute of Technology and has received multiple awards in the field of art. Ms. Audrey has 4 years of teaching experience and has worked in TK–5 art education since 2022. Ms. Cecilia has 5 years of teaching experience, holds a bachelor’s degree in art, and specializes in sketching, watercolor, oil painting, and color theory. Mr. Hao holds a BFA in Digital Media Art from San Jose State University, specializes in multidisciplinary media arts, creative production pipelines, and project management, and has over 10 years of traditional fine art experience in sketching and painting.
