Star Kids Academy

Star Kids Academy offers after school robotics, coding, engineering, math, art, makerspace projects, homework support, and daily snack. It also offers robotics classes at school, weekly robotics classes at the academy, school break camps, robotics camps, and STEAM camps with 3D printing, coding with StarCode, cardboard construction, circuits, art, and board games.

Programs

• After School program — Grades 1-5 · Monday to Friday, 2:30 to 6:30pm · $1,100 per month · STEAM after school program in Cupertino with homework support, coding, engineering, math, art, makerspace projects, daily snack, and daily pickup from school. Opens January 2027.
• Robotics classes at your child's school — Jr, Sr and Middle School levels · Robotics classes held on campus at Cupertino schools and partner after schools; no transportation needed.
• Robotics classes at Star Kids Academy — Jr, Sr and Middle School levels · Weekly · Weekly robotics at the Cupertino location, open to any student whether or not they attend the after school program.
• School break camps — During school breaks and summer · Full day robotics and STEAM camps at the Cupertino location.
• Robotics camps — Grades 1-2 or 3-6 · School breaks and summer; examples listed for 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM · Hands-on camps with different robots and themes; students build, code, and compete.
• STEAM camps — School breaks and summer · Makerspace camps with 3D printing, coding with StarCode, cardboard construction, circuits, art, and math through strategy and dexterity board games.

About the provider

Star Kids Academy has 28 years of teaching experience. It is a 501c3 nonprofit and a Carnegie Mellon Robotics Academy Certified Educator in Coding and Computational Thinking through the CS-STEM Network. Its curriculum is aligned with ISTE Standards 2024 4.02 and Next Generation Science Standards.

Two adults are present at all times students are with the program. Instructors and regular volunteers clear California Department of Justice fingerprint background checks through Live Scan and complete state approved mandated reporter training. Homework support is included. Tuition is a fixed monthly amount for the after school program; the page also lists $950 tuition plus $150 materials fee and part time $750 a month. Registration includes an intake form, monthly subscription, and confirmation email.
