About
Vidyarambh is an Indian Immersion Preschool that offers hands-on education with a fusion of academics, play, and cultural immersion. Children learn about India, its traditions, and values while also adapting western values, within campuses described as beautiful and nestled in the heart of Silicon Valley. The program follows a holistic, 360 degree approach to launching a child’s educational journey and provides fresh meals as part of its offerings.

Vidyarambh offers a comprehensive range of educational child care programs tailored for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, pre-K, and TK children, with age-specific programs that include Infant Care (12 to 20 months), Toddler Care (20 to 30 months), Early Preschool (about 2.5 years to 3+ years), a Preschool Program (3 to 4 years), and a Pre-K & TK Program (4 to 6 years). The daily schedule gives every child an opportunity to experience uninterrupted play and independent exploration.
Vidyarambh’s mission is to redefine early education with a blend of cultural immersion and academic excellence, fostering a strong connection between children and their cultural roots and nurturing students who excel academically and develop an understanding and appreciation for the intricate culture of India, while empowering children to become happy, responsible, and inquisitive individuals who are ready to explore the world and contribute meaningfully and responsibly to communities. Indoor and outdoor areas are furnished according to NAEYC standards. The venue includes bright, airy classrooms, thoughtfully designed playgrounds, and stimulating activity centers, with both indoor and outdoor areas furnished according to NAEYC standards.
The program was established in 2015, beginning with five students at a modest facility in Cupertino, and its first campus in Santa Clara opened in August 2019. Vidyarambh caters to the daycare needs of families in Santa Clara, Cupertino, San Jose, Sunnyvale, Milpitas, and nearby Bay Area locations, with campuses in Cupertino and Santa Clara serving families in San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Milpitas.
Founder and Executive Director Sujatha Namboodiri is an alumna (1998) of IIT Kanpur with a master’s degree in Civil Engineering, holds a Site Supervisor Permit and Program Director Permit in Early Childhood Education, is certified in WestEd’s Teaching Pyramid, and is trained in SEEDS of Early Literacy. The leadership team includes Sujatha Namboodiri and Center Director Latha Kalimani, who serves as Senior Director supervising both centers.
