About
Leapstart's Young Speaker's Improv Camp is a lively four-day program for children ages 4.5–11, designed with age-appropriate activities and guided participation. Through playful improvisation, storytelling, and performance games, children learn to speak with confidence, express ideas clearly, and think on their feet—all in a supportive, low-pressure environment.
Why This Camp Works
Rather than memorizing speeches, campers learn by doing. Improv removes fear of "getting it wrong" and replaces it with curiosity, humor, and confidence. Children practice communication skills that carry into school, social settings, and everyday life.
What Campers Will Experience

Fast-paced, age-appropriate games that encourage quick thinking, creativity, and confidence.
Storytelling & Comic Timing
Learn how to build simple stories, add humor, and keep an audience engaged.
Voice, Movement & Expression

Thinking on Your Feet
Practice responding confidently in unexpected situations—an essential life skill.
Listening & Team Play
Improv activities that build focus, cooperation, and respect for others' ideas.
Confidence in Front of Others
Gentle exposure to speaking and performing in front of a group, at each child's comfort level.
End-of-Camp Showcase
The camp concludes with a relaxed, fun presentation where campers share short improv scenes, games, or humorous moments for family and friends—celebrating growth, courage, and self-expression.
Young Speaker's Improv Camp helps children find their voice, trust their ideas, and enjoy being heard—skills that last well beyond the stage.
