About
Garden Montessori School offers a morning program where children spend time in outdoor play and socialization, join group circles for greeting, calendar, weather, and curriculum or theme discussion, and explore work projects such as art, science, fine motor, gross motor, math, language, and self-prepared snacks. Children prepare their own snacks in their own kitchen, wash their own dishes, paint on the outside deck, water plants, visit the rabbit, and take part in stories, games, and singing. The program also includes special events for students and their parents throughout the year, including a Fall Social, Mother’s Tea, Dad’s Night, Spring Sing, Science Fair, and an End-of-Year Picnic.

• Schedule: 3-hour morning program from 9:00 am–12:00 pm with flexible options for 3, 4, or 5 days a week, plus a Lunch Bunch option Monday–Thursday from 12:00–1:30 pm
Garden Montessori School is an enrichment-focused preschool and kindergarten preparatory program for children ages 3–6, with a curriculum and classroom environment structured to foster independence, natural curiosity, and each child’s learning style. The program uses a multi-age class to encourage cooperation instead of competition, and teachers guide children’s projects and choices while facilitating each child’s learning style. Children have a choice of many engaging work projects that are skill-based and aligned with various concepts and themes, and they develop their own hypotheses, conclusions, and problem-solving skills as new work projects are introduced regularly. The play yard includes real grass, trees, gardens, swings, climbing structures, a big sandbox, and a tire swing, and the program includes two rabbits, fish, and a box turtle so children can experience taking responsibility for and respecting animals.
Garden Montessori School has been in operation since 1978, working with children in the community. The school was founded by Jaye Perry, who has been the director and owner for over 40 years.
