I Can Do That! Summer Camps & Summer Showcase offers Musical Theatre Summer Camps, Summer Musical Theatre Intensives, and a Summer Showcase that features acting, singing, and dance training. Campers take part in activities such as Acting Techniques, Improvisation Games, Monologue & Scene Work, Actor Etiquette, Costume/Prop/Set Design, Acting for the camera, Scene & Playwriting, Directing, vocal warm ups, solo coaching, Group Sing-A-Longs, Acting through song, Audition Prep, and various dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap, and Dance for Musical Theatre. The program also includes Youth Musical Productions, skill building theatre classes, Music & Movement for little ones, daily choreography, storytelling through movement, and opportunities to create original dances, along with a Summer Showcase musical review featuring selected songs from Broadway shows.
• Ages: 2–18 years old
• Schedule: Musical Theatre Summer Camps & Intensives run June 8–July 31 in one-week sessions, Monday–Friday, with morning camps from 9:00am–12:00pm and afternoon camps from 1:00pm–5:00pm; the Summer Showcase runs over 4 weeks with rehearsals July 6–31 and tech July 29–30, followed by performances July 31–August 2.
• Price: Mornings 9:00am–12:00pm $390/week; Afternoons 1:00pm–5:00pm $520/week; Summer Showcase tuition $1620; performance tickets $24 plus a $2.25 fee per ticket, with Saturday matinees $10 with code SATMAT10.
Lunch Hour Supervision is offered for full day campers, and the Camp Lunch Hour from 12:00pm–1:00pm is included free of charge for children signed up for both morning and afternoon sessions, with parents of students over age 13 able to opt out of supervised lunch by email. Full day campers may bring a bagged lunch or purchase snacks and drinks from the in-house cafe, and ICDT! does not provide lunch. I Can Do That! is a local non-profit theatre company co-founded by Shayna and Jarusha, founded in 2016, with its Performing Arts Center opening in March 2021, and it offers acting, singing, and dance training for kids, teens, and adults. The organization’s mission is to foster empowered, flourishing youth through sustained community, wellness, and the power of the performing arts, with a focus on building confidence, community, and connection in youth and an emphasis on belonging, learning, and connecting as core beliefs. I Can Do That! stems from an existing family of theatre lovers bonded by The Belasco Theatre Company.
