Kids' Country serves 2,000 children every day at 18 elementary school-based sites. Since its founding in 1985, Kids’ Country has served over 40,000 elementary school children in the San Ramon Valley. Kids' Country is accredited.

The Kids' Country mission is to support a child's natural curiosity and love of learning in a safe and inspired environment where they can discover their passions and achieve great things. Programs are developed to engage children’s interests and build their skills while doing things they love, using curriculum that is described as being on the cutting edge and that inspires curiosity, creativity, and innovation. Children have access to the latest technology and open-ended materials that spark play, art, engineering, building, and other creative projects, and staff have the freedom to create dynamic programs that foster the unique talents of the individual children in their care.

Kids’ Country summer camps allow students in the SRVUSD and beyond to enjoy their time out of school in a safe, fun, and explorative manner, and campers experience a wide variety of activities that help them discover the joy of summer. The organization’s professional staff are described as experts in providing high quality learning opportunities and care during out-of-school hours. The leadership team includes a communication manager/STEAM educator and site directors at multiple elementary schools.

Kids’ Country was founded by community parents looking for quality out-of-school care for their children, and each site is part of a tight knit neighborhood that is highly engaged in the success of its children. Partnerships with vendors such as MyGirl Coaching, Challenge Island, and Soccer Shots enable families to enhance their learning experience at Kids’ Country.

One staff member describes the key to success with Camp KC as listening to staff and children and developing weekly site themes that were inspiring and engaging, with positive feedback from the summer program informing future plans. Another staff member describes dedication with children as showing up every day with patience, presence, and a desire to understand and support each child, guiding them, celebrating their growth, and creating a safe space where they feel valued and encouraged to explore and learn.
