Music Lab Davis Summer Camps offers 5-day Drum Camps, Art Camp, Ukulele Camp, Multi-Instrument Camp, and Voice Camp. The program also provides drum lessons, guitar lessons, bass guitar lessons, piano lessons, voice lessons, violin lessons, ukulele lessons, saxophone lessons, clarinet lessons, flute lessons, and trumpet lessons, along with recitals and band programs. Summer camps include a free Summer Camp T-shirt.
• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: 5-day camps with options in July; school open Mon–Fri 12pm–8pm and Sat–Sun 9am–4pm
• Price: 5-day camps cost $225 with a $45 non-refundable deposit; sibling discount of $25 off for each additional sibling; lessons are $150/month for 30-minute weekly one-on-one sessions or $300/month for 60-minute weekly one-on-one sessions, plus a $50 one-time enrollment fee
Drum Camps run July 6–10 from 9–11am for ages 6–10 and July 20–24 from 9–11am for ages 11–15. Art Camp runs July 6–10 from 12–2pm, Ukulele Camp runs July 13–17 from 9–11am, Multi-Instrument Camp runs July 13–17 from 12–2pm, and Voice Camp runs July 27–31 from 9–11am. Students must be picked up on time after each session, and the school does not provide child care before, after, or in between sessions.
Instructors at Music Lab Davis are educated from music schools such as Berklee College of Music and UC Davis, and many are professionally endorsed and very experienced. The instructional staff are professional musicians from around Northern California, each specializing in different styles and experienced in teaching music, and they work as a team and may periodically change a student’s teacher to expose students to different musical styles. Teaching rooms are described as clean, acoustically sound, inspiring, motivating, and comfortable, and are equipped so that both student and instructor have their own instrument, with large studio rooms and high quality instruments and equipment.
