The Davis Musical Theatre Company's Young Performers' Theatre is an all-volunteer organization. Actors ages 7 through 17 may participate, and 18-year-old high school students are also encouraged to participate. For auditions, all roles are open and the program does not pre-cast, and participants are asked to bring sheet music for a song they have already learned that is not from the show, not sing to taped music or a cappella, and bring comfortable shoes in case they are asked to dance. The DMTC Youth Workshop for kids ages 7–12 is designed to introduce young performers to theatre, does not require prior experience, and all who enroll in the workshop receive a role. The organization’s history is documented from 1984 through 2026.
