The mission of Columbia Memorial Space Center Youth Programs is stated as “Igniting a Community of Critical & Creative Thinkers,” and every exhibit, workshop, and event is described as being designed to spark curiosity, nurture creativity, and empower learners of all ages to imagine what is possible. Astronomy Night includes a special collaboration with Cosmos & Coffee, and families can bring their own telescope or use one provided for guided viewing. Parents Night Out is described as three hours of fun, games, and exploration, and each session is described as promoting critical thinking and creativity, with summer offerings inviting kids to dive into rockets, engineering, science, and maker projects. The leadership and staff team includes roles such as President & Executive Director, Center Supervisor, Education Coordinators, Program Specialists, an Office Assistant, and a Social Media Coordinator, along with board and city leaders connected to the center.
