Actors Youth Academy (AYA) serves youth ages 4–17 and adults and has operated from 2016–2025. The program offers an individualized curriculum so students receive materials for performances that match their level, and for students without agents, it creates agent showcases from footage of filmed performances. It engages parents to translate materials students have worked on in class into their other language and provides coaching accordingly. Singing students receive training from classically trained professional singers through either online or in-person classes. The mission of Actors Youth Academy is to inspire youth to be fully self expressed with integrity, create the next generation of bilingual actors, and change the demographics of the industry, one actor at a time. The program states that it is parent friendly and teaches students to be fully self-expressed with integrity, including values, principles, and goals. It also states that students can take professional acting classes on Zoom from a different state or country, and that it offers a fun and easy way to learn a language, enhance vocabulary, and refine pronunciation in spoken Spanish. Actors Youth Academy notes that students can acquire the ability to improvise dance moves for auditions, commercials, and short scenes that call for dancing, while gaining a foundation in hip hop dance choreography, and that participation can build confidence, boost self-esteem, and develop acting skills, as well as support performance in school by enhancing academic skills through the art of acting. The program reports that SAG-AFTRA franchised agents have scouted its students via agent showcases and represent some of them, and that it was the first youth film and TV academy to offer students the opportunity to practice their craft in both English and Spanish.
