About

Creative Kids After School offers after school and summer camp programs that emphasize individual student involvement and personal improvement. The program maintains small class sizes and balances its curriculum with ample outdoor playtime. It places a premium on academic excellence intertwined with an enjoyable learning journey, with a focus on appreciation for academic success, Chinese language, and culture, and is nestled within a nurturing and non-competitive atmosphere.

• Schedule: After school programs run in Dublin from 11:30am–6:00pm and in Union City from 11:30am–6:30pm, with summer camps in both locations from 8:30am–6:00pm.

Creative Kids After School has been serving parents in the tri-valley since 2006 and operates two campuses in Union City and Dublin that facilitate seamless pick-up arrangements. The program states that it maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and sanitation through professional janitorial services, and the Dublin campus stands apart as the sole afterschool center in the Dublin, Pleasanton, and San Ramon areas with an expansive playground. Creative Kids was established by two certified Early Childhood Education (ECE) educators, Lucy Wang (Co-Founder and Director of Art and Drama) and Tracy Zhang (Co-Founder and Director of Operation). Ms. Zhang holds an MBA with a concentration in finance, a full U.S. early childhood teaching certification, and has successfully operated four California-licensed child care centers since 2007.

Co-Founder Lucy Wang is the head of the Western United States Art Committee of the Chinese Cultural Promotion Association and serves as Artistic Director of the Galaxy Children's Theater, as well as a children's drama screenwriter, director, and art exam instructor. Her work has received multiple awards, including the China “Golden Thrush” Original Script Special Award, the Golden Baihua Original Play Excellence Award, the Best Production Award at the International New Concept Film Festival for the documentary “Galaxy Phase 4,” the Best Screenplay Award at the 6th New Concept Film Festival, and the Best Educational Short Film Award at the San Francisco New Concept Film Festival for “Growing Up,” along with the Davis Special Award and a shortlist placement at the China-US Film Festival. Additional recognition includes the Children's Public Welfare Documentary Series Award and two Presidential Volunteer Gold Medals. A parent review from Shan Chai on Google Reviews states, “Excellent staff and teachers. Programs are well designed and plenty of curriculum.”
