Riar Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA)

Riar Academy of Performing Arts (RAPA) offers classes in Acro, Ballet, Ballroom and Social Dance, Bhangra, Bollywood, Breakdancing/B-Boying, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Kathak (Classical North Indian Dance), and Yoga. It is described as an exclusive, multi-disciplinary dance training institution where students train in these specific styles. The academy hosts large-scale student shows every school year, and some students have performed in movies, music videos, and at Disneyland.

• Schedule: Classes are held year-round and are catered to toddlers, kids, juniors/tweens, teens, adults, and advanced and intermediate placements.

Riar Academy of Performing Arts has been providing dance training for over 10 years and serves families from Dublin, Fremont, Mountain House, Elk Grove, and Milpitas in California. All classes are led by entertainment industry professionals who have honed their craft, performed, and collaborated with many renowned celebrities. The academy offers award-winning programs including SHOWKIDS ™, the INTENSIVE TRAINING PROGRAM ™ (ITP), and Adults Intensive Programs, and advanced-level ITP students perform year-round at various large-scale events and competitions throughout the California Bay Area and beyond. Karan and Meera Riar lead the program and are described as very dedicated to the students.

Parents describe the classes and shows as super organized, with instructors who break down steps clearly and bring friendly energy and a positive spirit. One parent notes a wonderful experience with the Kathak class, and several parents say their daughters love coming to class and enjoy the teachers’ dedication and enthusiasm.
