School of Imagination & Happy Talkers
School of Imagination, 9801 Dublin Blvd, Dublin, CA 94568
About
School of Imagination & Happy Talkers offers speech therapy, occupational therapy, behavioral therapy (ABA), infant development, social skills programs, ADOS diagnostics, an inclusive preschool, and early childhood education. The program brings education, therapy, and community services together in a purpose-built 12,000-square-foot center.
• Ages: 1–10 years old
School of Imagination & Happy Talkers has been serving Tri-Valley families since 2001, with Happy Talkers founded in 2001 and School of Imagination founded in 2008. The permanent 12,000-square-foot center opened in 2011 through a partnership between Charlene Sigman and her husband Mitch Sigman and the City of Dublin. The program offers an integrated early childhood development system that combines clinical care, inclusive education, and community support, with a Clinical Leadership Council that coordinates care across disciplines. Children in the inclusive, ESDM-based preschool can access clinical services in the same building, and no diagnosis is needed to start services. A free developmental screening is available upon request, and the program accepts most major insurance plans and is vendorized through the Regional Center of the East Bay, listed as CA Facility 013420914.
Charlene Sigman, M.S. Ed, CCC-SLP, is the founder of School of Imagination & Happy Talkers and is a speech-language pathologist, preschool director, and certified ESDM therapist. The mission of School of Imagination & Happy Talkers is “To bring out the extraordinary in every child by providing integrated early childhood clinical care, inclusive education, and community support — so no family has to navigate developmental challenges alone.” The program is described as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and responds to inquiries and referrals within one business day, with capacity available and actively welcoming new clinical referrals and preschool enrollments. It works closely with pediatricians, school psychologists, Regional Center case managers, and healthcare systems, and is vendorized through the Regional Center of the East Bay.
School of Imagination & Happy Talkers hosts the annual Stephen Vogt Celebrity Benefit Weekend (Vogt Weekend), including a poker fundraiser called All In for Kids that raised $132,000 in 2026 and is scheduled to return January 22–23, 2027, as a community platform that raises funds and awareness every year. Behavioral therapy (ABA) launched in 2021, and ADOS-2 diagnostic evaluations are launching in 2026. A quote from founder Charlene Sigman states, “We believe every child deserves a high-quality start to their educational journey. Early childhood education is the cornerstone of lifelong learning and success.”
