Shooting Stars Preschool

Shooting Stars Preschool includes activities with letters and numbers, arts such as painting and paper art, science, basics of cooking, music and dance, meditation, and teamwork and group activities. The program uses Montessori methods to support independence and self-help skills and Reggio Emilia methods for teamwork and group activities. Children also follow hand washing routines, and toys and equipment are cleaned regularly, with nap mats set 6 feet apart and a low student-to-teacher ratio of 6 students to 1 teacher. All necessary supplies and materials, including art supplies, toys, and learning materials, are provided, and children may bring a toy from home on show and tell days.

• Price: A nonrefundable fee of $100 per child is required with the application.

Shooting Stars Preschool follows a holistic approach that integrates learning within a theme and focuses on cognitive, language, social, emotional, physical, and personal development. The program includes a Pre-K and TK program, a STEAM curriculum, and Montessori inspired learning. The environment is described as calm, nurturing, and predictable, with warm relationships among children, parents, and teachers, and preschool security and safety measures in place. The program has dedicated and professionally trained, experienced staff and a safe environment, and it provides daily updates to keep parents informed of each child’s performance. Children do not have to be potty trained to start preschool, and parents are responsible for drop-off and pick-up because transportation services are not provided.
