St. John's Preschool offers preschool and daycare services where children’s play is the major component of the curriculum and is considered essential to their learning process. The school is a Lutheran Christian program, and teachings reflect those beliefs, with a teaching staff made up of Christ-centered, mature adults who exhibit behavioral standards and ethics based on the Word of God. The school is open to all who desire a Christian preschool education for their children and provides equal services and treatment for all children without regard to race, religion, or nation of origin.

St. John’s Preschool has been serving the community since 1967. The program provides preschool and daycare services to the South Bay of Los Angeles for children between the ages of 18 months and 6 years old. Its mission states that it strives to create a warm and loving community where children, through active involvement with the physical environment, learn to be self sufficient, solve problems, interact with peers in positive ways, and grow in all areas of development.
The teaching staff have been trained in Early Childhood Education and Child Development as outlined in Title 22 and are certified in CPR and First Aid. Each staff member has cleared a complete background check and participates in professional growth opportunities such as workshops, conferences, and college courses in Early Childhood Education. Director Josie Meade has been working in the field of Early Childhood Education for over 30 years, joined St. John’s Preschool in spring 2017, and holds a Site Supervisor Permit through the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
