About

College Golf Experience offers junior golfers the chance to train with college coaches through college-level instruction, on-course play with college coaches, college-style practice sessions, tournament-style rounds, and practice rounds. The program includes work on course management and strategy, as well as coach-led seminars and open Q&A sessions. Participants also receive digital, on-demand video access to coach insights.

Since 2020, College Golf Experience has focused on connecting junior golfers with college coaches and teaching them about the college golf recruiting process. The program features four distinct camp formats: College Golf Exposure Camps, Academic Exposure Camps, College Golf Performance, and Prospect Camps. Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number of participants, gender, and age, and use an 8:1 coach to player ratio. CGX states that its camps are the only opportunity to spend time on the golf course with college coaches during the recruiting process. The Committed Golf digital module provides 24/7 on-demand access to more than 500 videos from over 300 college coaches. Aeon School is the exclusive online school partner of the Academic Camp Series, and a partnership with MJT is aimed at enhancing the road to college golf for junior golfers in Canada.

College Golf Experience is led by CEO Joshua Jacobs and Marketing Director Jeff Hensiek. Joshua Jacobs played collegiate golf and club tennis at Emory University, founded TGA Premier Junior Golf in 2003, and franchised its junior golf concept in 2007, making it the first junior golf program to add STEM components. He created the TGA Sports Foundation, orchestrated a national partnership with the United States Tennis Association in 2012, and franchised TGA’s second concept, tennis. In 2010, he was named by Golf Magazine and Sports Illustrated as one of the Top 40 most influential people in golf under 40, and in 2013 he was recognized as one of golf’s “Innovators” by Golf Inc. He has served on the World Golf Foundation Advisory Board, USTA’s National School Committee, the PGA’s Golf 2.0 National Building Blocks Committee, the TGA Sports Foundation Board of Directors, the Southern California PGA Foundation Advisory Committee, and the Southern California PGA Growth of the Game Committee, and is a consultant and catalyst behind the PGA of America’s Family Cup initiative. Through the TGA Sports Foundation, Joshua Jacobs has been involved in developing youth of different backgrounds through athletics. Jeff Hensiek is a strategic marketing and communications professional with a background in driving brand awareness and customer engagement.
