About

College Golf Experience Camps gives junior golfers the chance to train in college-style practice sessions led by college coaches. Campers also play tournament-style rounds where they receive real-time, on-course feedback from these coaches.

College Golf Experience Camps are staffed by active college coaches who train, teach, and provide direct feedback at every camp. The program offers four distinct camp formats: College Golf Exposure Camps, Academic Exposure Camps, Tournament Prep Camps, and Prospect Camps. Camps feature an 8:1 coach to player ratio and direct access to college coaches who are building college rosters. According to the program, CGX camps are the only opportunity to spend time on the golf course with college coaches during the recruiting process. Insights college coaches share at CGX Camps are also available digitally through Committed Golf, which includes 300+ college coaches, 500+ videos, and 24/7 on-demand access. Camps are open to any and all entrants, limited only by number of participants, gender, and age.

College Golf Experience has operated since 2020. Its mission statement says that College Golf Experience is committed to creating unique and transformational opportunities for junior golfers to connect with college coaches and learn about the college golf recruiting process. The leadership team includes Joshua Jacobs, CEO, and Jeff Hensiek, Marketing Director. In 2010, Joshua Jacobs was named by Golf Magazine and Sports Illustrated as one of the Top 40 most influential people in golf under 40, and in 2013 he was recognized as one of golf’s “Innovators” by Golf Inc.

Community involvement connected to the organization includes naming Aeon School as the Exclusive Online School Partner of CGX’s Academic Camp Series, and a partnership between College Golf Experience and MJT that aims to enhance the “road to college golf” for junior golfers in Canada. Additional related partnerships and initiatives include a national partnership with the United States Tennis Association (USTA) for TGA’s second concept, tennis, and the TGA Sports Foundation, which is dedicated to developing youth of all backgrounds through athletics. Testimonials cited by the program include “Player Lily M. Class of 2027 • Committed to UNF” from Lily M., Player in Class of 2027, and “Parent Robert S.” from Robert S., Parent.
