About

Pact Family Camps offers an annual family camp and weeklong summer retreats where adopted children of color and their families share experiences together. During these weeklong summer retreats, families spend time learning from experts and from one another about adoption, race, and identity.

• Ages: 0–18 years old
• Schedule: Weeklong summer retreats

Pact Family Camps take place within an organization whose mission is to serve adopted children of color and their families. Every year, Pact Family Camp includes a space described by the program as safe, supportive, and anti-racist, where adopted children of color connect with peers and mentors who share their identities and experiences, and parents engage with both the joys and the challenges of adoption, race, and family. Pact is a licensed, full-service adoption agency in the State of California and is described by the program as a national thought leader modeling an ethical, anti-racist approach to adoption. Pact also provides adoptees of color, both youth and adults, with support and community, and offers therapy services for adopted youth and adults of color and their families. Reaching Pact via public transit involves taking the Hollis line of the free Emery Go-Round shuttle from the MacArthur BART station to the Stanford & Horton stop.
