Education & Learning Programs takes place within a 37-acre garden setting that includes 4 miles of meandering trails, more than 5,000 plant species and varieties, and 29 uniquely themed gardens representing 15 different regions and many habitats of the world. The program offers on-site and online options for both adults and children. It also takes place in a space that includes the West Coast’s largest children’s garden and the nation’s largest public bamboo collection.
• Schedule: Hours of operation are 9 a.m.–5 p.m., with last ticket entry at 4 p.m. for walkups, and the program is closed on Tuesdays.
The mission of Education & Learning Programs is: “Be inspired. Follow your curiosity, improve your life, and better our world through plants, nature, and hands-on creative learning.” The program collaborates with community, nonprofit, academic, government, and industry partners to maximize combined impact.
