Encino-Sherman Oaks Girls Softball offers recreational softball for girls age 4 to 17. The program includes spring season and fall season play, and the Fall Select Program adds advanced instruction and competition for players enrolled in the Fall Season.

- Encino-Sherman Oaks Girls Softball — girls age 4 to 17
- Spring season — girls age 4 to 17 · One of two recreational softball seasons each year. Typically starts in February and runs through the end of April.
- Fall season — girls age 4 to 17 · One of two recreational softball seasons each year. Starts in September and continues until mid-November.
- Fall Select Program — players enrolled in the Fall Season; 14U and 17U are evaluated for select teams based on enrollment in the league · games near the end of August or in early September; may play on Saturdays or Friday Night Lights · Advanced instruction and competition. Select events are in addition to the regular Fall Program. Team play can't conflict with regular fall season rec games.
- Winter Select competition — players interested in Winter Select competition · Interest list reopens in November.
- Winter Slammer — 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U · Winter 2026 tournament. December 12th & 13th, 2026. 3-Game Guarantee. Open to all recreation/select teams. No travel ball teams. USA Softball umpires. Rings for 1st/2nd place in each division.

About the provider
The league was started to provide an enjoyable, challenging and educational softball league for girls age 4 to 17. It is affiliated with USA Softball, and everyone at ESO, from board members to manager, coaches and team parents, are volunteers. The program states that it is dedicated to teaching sportsmanship, self-confidence and leadership through fastpitch softball.
Registration has no geographical limitations and is open to all girls. Committed to inclusivity and accessibility, ensuring that every girl has the opportunity to play, regardless of financial circumstances. Girls are evaluated, drafted and placed in age and skill-appropriate divisions from 6U to 17U to help ensure fair, balanced teams.
