The Grand Academy of Ballet

The Grand Academy of Ballet offers classical ballet, dance, fitness, musical theater, and cultural and modern dance classes with shows and performances. Students can take part in Vaganova Method syllabus training, a Junior Ballet program, a year-round Pre-Professional program, and the Vaganova Professional Academy, as well as a full-day Elite Vaganova program for professional career students. The program also offers a Summer Ballet Intensive, a Mommy & Me developmental class focusing on parent and child participation, adult ballet technique classes from beginner to advanced, fitness classes inspired by rhythmic gymnastics, Pilates and ballet, and Ballet Pilates that trains the body as an integrated whole with a focus on core strength. Classes take place in large, high-ceiling ballet rooms with professional sprung floors, many windows with natural light, and a clean atmosphere, described as a world class facility and Southern California’s premier professional ballet and performing arts center.

The Grand Academy of Ballet is founded on the Vaganova Method and training principles and uses a unique training model that follows the stages of development within the Vaganova Method to systematically build and nurture professional dancers. The top 12 students in each level can join the Vaganova Professional Academy. The faculty is described as an exclusive team of world class Russian Vaganova trained teachers and world-class instructors, with a combined 80+ years of experience in education in classical ballet. The stated mission is to bring world class quality and training of Classical Ballet to Los Angeles and channel the power, history and success of the Vaganova Method to transform students into world class dancers.
