The mission of i9 Sports Youth Leagues, Camps & Clinics is to help kids succeed in life through sports by providing a youth sports experience that teaches the importance of good sportsmanship on the field and in life. The program is described as the nation’s largest multi-sport provider focused solely on high-quality, community-based youth sports programs and has recorded over 5 million registrations in communities across the country. It is committed to providing age-appropriate instruction, with programs optimized for developmental milestones at each age group, and programs are described as being designed to be convenient for busy families.
Nike Kids Camps powered by i9 Sports combine i9 Sports organization, fun and inclusiveness with Nike sport science and elevated programming, and these camps are designed for campers ages 5–12 with age groups broken out to ensure age-appropriate skills. Youth flag football leagues frequently run year-round, are beginner-friendly, and are available nationwide. Youth soccer leagues help kids ages 3–14 discover and build a love of soccer, sportsmanship, and athletics, and youth basketball leagues are beginner-friendly and allow kids ages 5–14 to learn and grow as athletes. Each week, one of nine sportsmanship values is integrated into practice and game play across all age groups, and an i9 Sports Excellence in Sportsmanship medal is awarded to a player who best demonstrates the weekly sportsmanship value. The nine stated sportsmanship values are Respect, Positivity, Teamwork, Humility, Enthusiasm, Determination, Integrity, Inclusion, and Leadership.
i9 Sports is proud to support the Aspen Institute’s national Project Play initiative and has been selected as a Project Play Champion for taking meaningful actions to encourage multi-sport sampling and help grow national youth sports participation rates. It has been recognized by the Aspen Institute’s national Project Play initiative through its selection as a Project Play Champion.
Parent feedback includes comments that the program is a “safe escape” for children to be kids while learning both athletic and life skills, with appreciation for how well the program is run, communication, and measures to keep kids as safe as possible, as shared by Christian F. from Atlanta, GA.
