DanceSport Education offers ballroom dance classes that include International Style Standard dances such as Waltz, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, and Quickstep, as well as International Style Latin dances such as Cha-Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive. The program also includes American Style Smooth dances (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz), American Style Rhythm dances (Cha-Cha, Rumba, Swing, Bolero, Mambo), and social dances such as salsa, West Coast Swing, flamenco, merengue, hustle, and Arizona two-step country. Students can also take part in Spring Camps, Summer Camps, Intensive Workshops, Master Classes, prom preparation, and additional classes.

• Schedule: Offered once or twice a week as a curricular and extracurricular activity in several age/grade level groups in the Fall, Winter, and Spring sports seasons
DanceSport Education is specially designed for children and youth ages 4–18 and is offered at the preschool, elementary, middle, and high school levels for public, private, charter, and home-schooled students. Classes are organized into Essential Foundations, Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced levels, and the core DanceSport curriculum covers the two major ballroom styles, International and American. The program is offered as both a curricular and an extracurricular activity and may be applied toward obtaining PE credits at the parent/student option when coordinated with the school’s administration. It is supplemented by Spring and Summer Camps, Intensive Workshops, Master Classes, and, at the option of schools and students, prom preparation and additional classes.
The DanceSport curriculum is delivered with a proven instructional methodology by world-class, top-rated DanceSport professionals affiliated with Imperial Ballroom Dance Center, who have over two decades of competitive and instructional experience. These instructors are experienced in competitive International and American ballroom styles and in social styles including salsa, merengue, West Coast Swing, hustle, and Arizona two-step country. DanceSport Education is driven by the mission to create positive, life-long impacts in the lives of young people through participation in ballroom dance at their schools and to support young and developing DanceSport talent.
DanceSport Education is an Arizona not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization that meets and exceeds National and State standards. The program is brought directly into schools and is also provided as an extracurricular activity to homeschool children, and it includes specially designed annual dance events to communicate results, showcase achievements, increase outreach among young people, and inform the community. Its long-term vision includes the creation of a Developmental Youth DanceSport League that would help children prepare for entering amateur and/or professional national associations and allow them to compete locally and nationally, qualify to represent the US, and win world and international dance competitions.
