About
Triple Creek Horse Outfit offers private horseback tours that include horseback riding and trail rides. Rides take place on 1200+ acres of trails that skirt a 200 acre vineyard before heading into Redwood and Oak woodland forest. All levels of riding experience are welcome, and a variety of ride lengths are available.
• Ages: 8–18 years old
• Schedule: The program will start accepting reservations in March, once the calendar is confirmed.
Triple Creek Horse Outfit is led by Erin and Dominic and has been leading horseback tours in Northern California Wine Country for almost 23 years. The program offers an interpretive, private horseback riding experience with special attention to each rider and occasion. Rides go past acres of vineyards for premium wines, across open oak woodlands, and through shady groves of tall redwoods. Children must be at least 8 years old, able to follow instructions to go on a trail ride, and must be accompanied by an adult. The weight limit is 210 pounds, and there are suggested rider height/weight ratio guidelines (BMI). Riders must wear closed-toe shoes such as athletic shoes or sneakers, and those wearing sandals or flip-flops will not be allowed to ride. For safety reasons, riders cannot bring backpacks, hats that could blow off, or excessively loose, floppy garments. The pace of each ride is determined by the guide after observing and evaluating all riders’ abilities, and trail and park conditions are also factors in determining the pace. After the ride, guests are offered a complimentary tasting at VJB Cellars in Kenwood, which also offers food from La Cucina including artisan cheeses, wood-fired pizzas, gelato, and handmade chocolates.
