KD MMA

KD MMA offers training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, MMA, Wrestling, Judo, and Kajukenbo. The program also includes a Women's No-Gi BJJ class and a dedicated kids program.

KD MMA was founded by Karen Darabedyan, a WEC veteran who trained at Hayastan MMA Academy under Gokor Chivichyan. The program operates across three academies with one standard, with programs ranging from four-year-old fundamentals to professional fight camps. All KD MMA coaches have undergone background checks and hold current CPR/First Aid certification. The academies use mat-side cameras at all locations with a live stream on YouTube, and cameras are posted at every entrance with California two-party consent honored. All participants complete a liability waiver before their first class, and a parent or guardian must complete the form for anyone under 18, with all memberships subject to California's 5-business-day cancellation right under Civil Code §1812.85. KD MMA offers the first class free with no commitment and has verified Google reviews across its three locations. Upcoming bouts for KD MMA pros and amateurs are accompanied by watch parties at the Glendale flagship. One parent review notes that a child who started at age 7 was winning their bracket at tournaments three years later, and other reviews describe the women's only class and the presence of pros on the mat.
