Professor Egghead Science Academy Summer Camps

Professor Egghead Science Academy Summer Camps offers themed science and engineering camps such as rocket camp, explorer camp, detective camp, extreme engineer camp, amusement parks with LEGO camp, and mega machine with LEGO camp. Campers create, build, and test flying machines like helicopters, rockets, and planes, launch bottle rockets, make parachutes, observe chemical reactions, dig for fossils, make bubbling tar pits, clean up oil spills, race magnetic bumper cars, make snow, test fiber samples, dust for fingerprints, and analyze fake blood samples. They also take part in science demonstrations, hands-on experiments, and science and engineering lessons, and they design, build, and test contraptions like egg drops, strength bridges, tall towers, catapults, balloon cars, and giant crush and twisting tornado tests, as well as building spinning merry-go-rounds, mega ferris wheels, speeding roller coasters, giant amusement parks, windmills, cranes, elevators, and cars with LEGO using wheels, bands, gears, pulleys, and specialty pieces, then testing these machines by trying to break them, blow them over, or put weight on them, with daily take-home experiments from camp.

Professor Egghead Science Academy Summer Camps uses a STEM-based curriculum with hands-on kinesthetic learning, and all science classes are fully hands on. All camps include STEM lessons, daily take-homes, and memories, and the program offers multiple science summer camp themes to choose from. The program also runs STEM enrichment classes, science parties, slime parties, special events, assemblies, booths, workshops, summer camps, grant-based programs, and in-school workshops, and provides all materials for in-school workshops. Science demonstrations and events can include huge dry ice bubbles, chemicals changing color, walking through a cloud, imploding cans, dry ice rockets, high flying water rockets, and stomp pads, with over 100 science and engineering topics for parties and events and over 120 lessons and twice as many experiments for in-school workshops.

The mission of Professor Egghead Science Academy is to bring science to everyone, represented through the motto: Make Science Accessible, Understandable, and Cool. All classes leave students learning 3 keywords and a science or engineering topic each week.
