About
Glendora Aquatics offers a year round swim club with competitive swimming, private swim lessons, summer swim team, summer swim lessons, and dry land training. The program includes multiple training groups, including Levels 1, 2, 3, Bronze, Silver, and Gold.
• Schedule: Year round team during the school year through June 1 runs Monday through Friday, with Levels 1, 2, and 3 practicing 6:00pm–7:00pm (new practice time starting September 2), and Bronze, Silver, and Gold practicing 5:30pm–7:00pm; the Summer Schedule 2025 runs June 9–August 1, Monday through Friday, with Levels 1, 2, and 3 from 8:00am–9:00am and Bronze, Silver, and Gold from 7:30am–9:00am; the summer swim team is a recreational team that practices 1 hour per day, 4 days a week.
Glendora Aquatics is governed by United States Swimming (USS) and Southern California Swimming (SCS). The program uses dry land training to complement swimming movements, incorporates mental training and positive mental attitude, and uses goal setting and a top 10 record board to motivate athletes. The team brings swimmers from different ability levels and swimming backgrounds together into one united team, and swimmers come in as individuals and leave as a family. A monthly calendar shows late start dates and times, upcoming meets and meet dues, and team events.

Janet holds a Master’s Degree in Education with an emphasis on Special Education and is a special education teacher at Glendora High School. Coach D’Ann Coak coaches the Bronze group, has 7 years of coaching experience as an assistant coach and dry land trainer at Glendora High School, and has been an educator for 12 years teaching special education English at Glendora High School.
Glendora Aquatics states that it has a strong focus on guiding swimmers through competitive swimming while creating lasting friendships, with a coaching staff that values a team-oriented environment for swimmers to grow in life first and the pool second. The program states that it emphasizes values such as leadership, teamwork, sportsmanship, and friendship, and focuses on creating a strong knowledge of the sport while cultivating a fun team environment.
Many members of the club swim team have competed in the San Gabriel Swim Team’s annual Halloween Invitational Swim Meet on October 26, where the team placed 2nd overall in the small team division and many swimmers earned trophies for placing 1st–6th in their individual events.
