A & J Cake and Candy Classes offers hands-on classes in buttercream, royal icing, fondant, gum paste, flowers and vines, cake pops, caramel apples, tarts, and seasonal treats. The program also includes a Free Sweet Demonstration that shows new ideas for cakes and candies.

A & J Cake and Candy is a family-owned shop established in 1985 and has been a go-to place for cake and candy supplies for over 40 years. Jennifer and Daniela now run the shop, and Jenn teaches the hands-on classes. Jenn has a culinary degree and years of experience in the baking and candy-making world. The shop describes itself as the #1 cake and candy supplier in San Gabriel Valley and uses the slogan “Where Sweet Dreams Become a Reality.” The shop’s mission is to make the store feel like each customer’s store by providing high-quality supplies with expert advice and a friendly smile, and this mission has remained the same for four decades. A & J Cake and Candy supports fellow local businesses by carrying goodies from local suppliers in the store. The shop offers a Free Sweet Demonstration to show new ideas, and it can print edible images from customer-provided JPEG or PNG files that are emailed to [email protected]. The store carries Merckens and Clasen melting chocolate in many colors and flavors, a large assortment of sprinkles, confetti, sanding sugars, crystal sugars, nonpareils, and holiday favorites, as well as an extensive selection of cookie cutters and stencils from Cookie Countess. The shop also has five walls full of various chocolate molds and an assortment of silicone molds, and it offers expert advice along with supplies.
