MUSYCA Children's Choir

MUSYCA Children's Choir offers Kinderchoir for ages 4-6, Junior Chorus for ages 7-10, Melody Choir for ages 10-14, Harmony Choir for ages 13-18, Young Men's Chorus for ages 13-21, Chamber Singers for ages 16-25, and MUSYCA Community Chorale for adults 18+. It also offers an Early Childhood Music Program for ages 3-6, private voice lessons in person and online, private instrumental music lessons in piano, violin, drums, guitar, ukulele, and flute, and the MUSYCA Recording Artists Workshop for hands-on recording studio skills.

About the provider

MUSYCA Children's Choir was founded in 2010. Artistic Director Dr. Mikhail Shtangrud is named as leading faculty review for audition placement, and the program says it is led by experienced music teachers, vocal coaches, and an exceptional faculty. Its mission is to provide the highest quality of music education to children and youth of all religious, ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds through study and performance of outstanding choral repertoire. The program is described as a premier choral music education program, California's leading performing arts organization for youth, and a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

Audition required for most choirs and for registration after audition review. A commitment for the entire season (August 17 - May 18) is required for the 2026-2027 season. Tuition is paid twice a year, with the first semester's payment due at registration and the second half automatically billed in January 2027. Ages 4-18 are encouraged to join the children's voice classes, while the broader program states ages 4-25.
