MUSYCA Children's Choir was founded in 2010 and serves Los Angeles County, the San Fernando Valley, and surrounding communities as a premier choral music education program. It unites talented young singers ages 4–25 in several sequential vocal ensembles grouped by age and experience, and also includes an intergenerational Community Chorale open to adult singers ages 18 and above. The Early Childhood Music Program is for ages 3–6 and does not require an audition, and the organization offers inclusive programs where all voices are welcome. Faculty members have Doctoral degrees in music performance and music education.

The mission of MUSYCA Children's Choir is to provide the highest quality of music education to Children and Youth of all religious, ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds through study and performance of outstanding choral repertoire, and it is dedicated to diversity, access, and service to the community. MUSYCA has earned international recognition for its performances and collaborations, with singers featured on Grammy-nominated albums, major film soundtracks, and television broadcasts. The choir has toured domestically and internationally, collaborated with world-renowned artists and composers, and performed at Carnegie Hall, the White House, Disney Hall, the Super Bowl Halftime Show, and other venues.

MUSYCA is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture, the Los Angeles Department of Cultural Affairs, National Endowment for the Arts, California Arts Council, Colburn Foundation, Green Foundation, Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts, and individual patrons.
