Healdsburg Community Nursery School

Healdsburg Community Nursery School is a cooperative preschool where parents and children learn and grow together. The program follows a play-based approach described as “Play with Purpose.” It is structured as a versatile school that works to provide the right fit for each family, with a newly revised program that is open to all families and levels of involvement.

• Ages: 2–5 years old
• Schedule: Office Monday–Friday 9am–3pm; program open to children 2.9 years and older Monday–Friday, with options of 2–5 days a week

Healdsburg Community Nursery School has been serving Sonoma County children and their families since 1966 and has a 60-year history as a co-op. The program welcomes and encourages parent participation but does not require co-op hours and offers flexibility to work with each family’s schedule. Its mission is to teach, inspire, and nurture healthy children and families through a partnership of professional teachers, parents, and students. The school operates under License #490102334. One parent shared, “At HCNS, social and emotional development is just as important as academic growth. Play-based learning has been a perfect fit for our family.”
