Indivisible Arts Youth Innovation & After School Programs offers after school classes that are part of its Youth Innovation Programs. Indivisible Arts is a South Bay 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to cultivating creativity, consciousness, and connection through art, and it serves young people across Los Angeles County with mental health and emotional resilience tools taught through creativity and consciousness. Its Youth Innovation Programs are hosted in a Creative Laboratory and Gallery described as being dedicated to innovation, exploration, and supporting the community with opportunities for inspiration. The organization offers a Fundamental Life Tools program serving youth ages 7–27, including teens overcoming substance abuse and transition-age foster youth, and uses a Creative Wisdom Tools curriculum for emotional well-being. It also runs an online teen mental health platform called Stream of Consciousness (StreamOfConsciousness.life), and describes FundaMentaLife Tools as a self-empowering toolkit for being.
Clinical consultants for the program include Thomas Carouso, MFT; Emily Lefkowitz, PhD; Julie Biaggi, LCSW; Dr. Kelly Waggoner; and Cassandra Bowles, Psy.D. The leadership team includes Rafael McMaster, Chairman / Executive Director; Jessica Tran, President; Jace Levine, Vice Chairman; Anastasia Brien, Director / Secretary; Rachel Burkhardt, Board Member; and Victoria White, Board Member. Indivisible Arts works with public schools in the South Bay through teacher trainings, curriculum development, and advanced sports and athlete mentorship, in addition to after school programming. Community partners include Lori and Will Ford, Paul Meils, Spencer and Alicia Hill, Dave Brubaker, Scott Canales, Ron Cano, Dave Larkin, Christian Stein, Eddie Donaldson, Tim Gibson, Amy Keller, Naomi Lara, Shivani Mehrotra, Greg Geilman, Christie Havey-Smith, Chris Salling, Lindsay Rielly, Jen Wei, and Robert Althuis.
Parents and participants have shared testimonials describing the program as “magical,” “life-changing,” and “transformative,” and crediting it with changes in mental health and overall well-being. Testimonials also state that “The Creative Wisdom Tools are changing our local youth in a profound way,” that “these tools are needed more than ever in classrooms everywhere,” and that the program “has CRACKED THE CODE” for teaching mindfulness and social emotional learning to youth.
