About
Huntington Academy of Dance offers classes in Ballet, Pointe, Variations, Pas de Deux, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Musical Theater, Classical Ballet, Lyrical Jazz, and Hip Hop. The program also offers summer dance camps, including a Jr. Ballet Camp and Intensive, as well as popular annual summer dance camps for kids ages 4 and up that sell out every year. New students can schedule a free trial class, and families can use a downloadable app to find and book classes.

Huntington Academy of Dance has been committed to providing quality dance instruction in Orange County for over 45 years. The studio is home to Ballet Etudes, a non-profit youth ballet company, and Emergent Dance Company, a professional contemporary dance company directed by Megan Pulfer. Ballet Etudes focuses on immersive performance experiences and outreach programs, and Emergent performs contemporary works in festivals throughout the Orange County and Los Angeles areas.
The highly accredited staff includes professional dancers, university educators, and distinguished members of Cecchetti USA, and teachers are certified to teach the Cecchetti Method. Every year, students are evaluated by national ballet examiners and consistently receive high marks. The ballet curriculum uses the Cecchetti Method to train dancers from age 3 through a professional level.
Huntington Academy of Dance presents Holiday Demonstrations every December at the HB Library Theater and an annual June Recital at Cal State Long Beach. The program also works in partnership with the City of Huntington Beach Parks & Recreation Department through the DANCE HB! program to offer affordable dance training to residents of Huntington Beach and surrounding communities. The mission of Huntington Academy of Dance and its companies includes nurturing dancers’ character development and artistic growth, engaging the community through outreach, and presenting choreographic work themed on current cultural issues or humanistic expressions.
The leadership team includes Owner and Artistic Director Kimberly McEachern, BA, LCUSA; Assistant Director Kim Serany; Assistant Director Sasha Robertson, JD, ACUSA; and faculty members Bridgette Burnett, BA; Erin Conners; Allison Romine; Kaitlin Regan; Pepa Dodge; Grace Hager; Terri Taylor; Rebecca Hamrock; Nicole Potts; Albany Adele; Jana Acciacca; Gary Joyce; Sarah Beyer; Grace Fuentes; and Megan Pulfer, Director of Emergent Dance Company. Testimonials from parents describe long-term involvement starting as early as age 2 or 3, participation in productions such as The Nutcracker and June recitals, and experiences during events such as COVID.
