The Ocean View School District states that its preschool programs are comprehensive and serve children aged two to five years old, with the goal of supporting student development and academic achievement through a developmentally appropriate preschool experience that connects to TK–8 classrooms. All three preschools are licensed facilities and adhere to licensing requirements. There is a no-cost preschool option for families who qualify based on income, and College View’s full day program is on a waitlist for summer and the 2026–2027 school year as of 4/30/26. The District offers three Early Childhood Education options: Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, and Kindergarten, and plans to launch free after-school childcare for transitional kindergarten through sixth grade students starting in the 2025–26 school year. Resources for preschool families and early childhood mental health are available, including links to tools such as the UCLA Mindful App and the Focus on the Go app.
