About
Santa Barbara Gymnastics Club Camps and Classes offers activities on the uneven bars, balance beam, vault, trampoline, tumble track, and spring floor. Campers also take part in obstacle courses, games, art, rock climbing, and open gym time, and the program includes options such as Team, Aerial, Ninja, Parkour, Cheer, Private Lessons, and Parent & Me “Baby Gym.”
• Schedule: Camp runs from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with structured rotations, snack, lunch, quiet time, open gym, and a strict 2:00 p.m. pick-up that includes a ten-minute grace period before after care charges begin.
Santa Barbara Gymnastics Club opened in 1975. The program’s mission is to foster a community of mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy citizens and to foster an atmosphere of respect, work ethic, and challenge beliefs in what is possible. All team coaches are USA Gymnastics professional members, which requires safety certification, a background check, and continuing education, and staff receive ongoing training in safety, teaching techniques of physical movements, and social and emotional development. The leadership team includes Sam Sarmiento and Mandie Engel, who are carrying a legacy forward.
