Bytes and Bots STEM Programs has been operating since 2006. The mission of Bytes and Bots is to make STEM education accessible and engaging for students aged 6 and above through programs in robotics, programming, electronics, game design, app development, and artificial intelligence, with an emphasis on developing 21st-century skills and the 5 Cs: Critical Thinking, Creativity, Communication, Collaboration, and Character. The program’s dedicated mentors are STEM-focused college students, and the leadership team includes Founder Kumar Ram, President Fernando de Paz, and mentors Michael Tapia, Harrison de la Riva, and Daniel Aklilu.

Bytes and Bots offers a Monthly Open Lab Membership for flexible, project-based STEM learning, as well as a Maker Lab afterschool program for K–12 students. It also runs competitive robotics teams for FLL (First Lego League) and FTC (First Tech Challenge), with FLL or FTC competition season running from August to January and practice starting in June. Additional options include Summer, Winter, and Spring Camps that feature coding, robotics, and game design in an open lab environment.

Bytes and Bots engages with the community through First Lego League, Girl and Boy Scouts programs, and birthday parties. Parent testimonials describe children being highly engaged in building, coding, and ongoing classes over multiple years.
