The Hillside School and Learning Center

The Hillside School and Learning Center offers a full-time day school for grades 6-12, one-on-one classes with a 1:1 student-teacher ratio, dual enrollment, a Winter Session, tutoring and educational therapy, and test prep. One-on-one classes use core courses that meet A-G requirements, and test prep covers standardized tests such as the ISEE and HSPT.

• Day School — Grades 6-12 · Full-time day school; small class size; accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges; courses are University of California and NCAA approved.
• One-on-One Classes — $4,175 per session · Student teacher ratio of 1:1; class meets whenever it is best for the student; core courses are offered that meet A-G requirements.
• Dual Enrollment — For students who need help with one or two subjects; students can take a few classes at The Hillside School and return to their normal high school.
• Winter Session — Online, asynchronous session offering core academic subjects; each course requires a minimum enrollment of five students.
• Tutoring/Educational Therapy — For all ages · Specialized one-on-one after school assistance that is student as well as subject focused.
• Test Prep — Helps students learn how to take standardized tests such as the ISEE or HSPT.

The Hillside School and Learning Center was established in 1971. It is a fully accredited private school accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, and its courses are University of California and NCAA approved.

Small class sizes of around eight students. One-on-one classes are tailored to the individual student. Students with ADD/ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, anxiety or depression are some of the reasons they find Hillside to be the right fit. Accepts students throughout the year with approval. Tuition for one-on-one classes is $4,175.00 per semester, with a non-refundable $300.00 deposit per class, and a science lab fee of $100.00 per class. Payment plans and financial aid are available. No refunds. Transcript and records may be withheld if tuition is not paid in full.
