Kevin Pratte Foundation Volleyball Camps and Scholarships offers KP's Summer Volleyball Camp, which brings together players who have traveled from all over the country. The program also offers scholarships for boys’ high school and club volleyball student-athletes through the Kevin Pratte Foundation.
The Kevin Pratte Foundation is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that raises funds to provide boys’ high school and club volleyball student-athletes with scholarships. Student-athletes can apply to be considered for the KP’s Scholar Athlete and Civic Leadership Award, and a KP's Crew Scholarship application is available. Applicants must submit high school transcripts, an essay, and a resume to be considered for the award. The foundation raises funds to help high school boys across the country pay for club volleyball fees.
The leadership team includes Kevin Pratte as President, Brian Adamson as a Board Member, and Francie Pratte as a Board Member. Kevin Pratte has been involved in volleyball for over 23 years, started playing in middle school, played NCAA Division I volleyball at The University of the Pacific, and served as a graduate assistant coach for the University of Nebraska women’s volleyball program in 2009. His coaching experience includes positions at the University of the Pacific, multiple community colleges, and seven years at WAVE Volleyball Club, and he is a physical education teacher in the San Diego Unified School District, a head boys’ high school volleyball coach, and a college volleyball recruiting coordinator. Brian Adamson had a successful high school volleyball career, was recruited to play at The University of the Pacific, was the starting opposite in 2006 and earned All MPSF honors, graduated with a business degree, pursued a career as a CPA, and works as a CFO of a group of auto dealerships. Francie McDonald Pratte is a Registered Nurse and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who has practiced Critical Care Nursing at Eisenhower Medical Center in Rancho Mirage, California, and has worked as a therapist in private practice, in a hospital, and in a school district.
Kevin Pratte has stated that he is extremely passionate about volleyball and that his parents and coaches helped shape his life through the sport, and he expressed gratitude that his parents are board members of The Kevin Pratte Foundation and described a mission to raise funds to help high school boys across the country pay for club volleyball fees. Brian Adamson has stated that he has known Kevin for nearly 20 years, that they share a love of volleyball and sports, and that he wanted to get involved when he learned Kevin was creating a foundation to help grow boys' volleyball and award athletes with scholarships. Francie Pratte has stated that volleyball was a huge part of their lives and that she likes the idea of helping young men be able to play club volleyball.
