La Jolla Music Society Learning & Engagement Programs include open houses, free outdoor concerts, and free musical instruction. The program also provides instruments to underserved students through its Community Music Center.

• Price: La Jolla Music Society’s extensive Learning and Engagement efforts produce dozens of free events each year both at The Conrad and offsite in the community, including open houses and free outdoor concerts. For more than 25 years La Jolla Music Society has operated the Community Music Center, providing free musical instruction and instruments to underserved students in the community of Barrio Logan.

La Jolla Music Society was formed in 1969. For more than 25 years, it has operated the Community Music Center, and its SummerFest is now in its 39th year. The organization’s mission is to enrich the evolving cultural landscape of San Diego by curating a dynamic array of world-class performing arts programming, creating meaningful learning opportunities, and building connections between artists and audiences. The Baker-Baum Concert Hall has been described as “a lovely jewel box” and “one of the most beautiful halls we have played.”
