For more than 25 years La Jolla Music Society has operated the Community Music Center, providing free musical instruction and instruments to underserved students in the community of Barrio Logan.
La Jolla Music Society was formed in 1969. For more than 25 years, it has operated the Community Music Center, and its SummerFest is now in its 39th year. The organization’s mission is to enrich the evolving cultural landscape of San Diego by curating a dynamic array of world-class performing arts programming, creating meaningful learning opportunities, and building connections between artists and audiences. The Baker-Baum Concert Hall has been described as “a lovely jewel box” and “one of the most beautiful halls we have played.”
