About

Nomads Soccer Club & Academy offers players the chance to take part in events such as the Thanksgiving Tournament 2026, the Nomads Summer Challenge, the Nomads Summer Invitational, and the Nomads 3v3 event at Hickman Field. The program also includes the Nomads Residency Program San Diego, competition in the UPSL Men’s Open Division for the Fall 2025 season, USYS National League competition for the 2025 season, and a showcase for talented players in Madrid, Spain in 2025.

Nomads Soccer Club & Academy has been developing professional players since 1976, and the Nomads brand reputation has been earned over 40 years of competing. The club focuses on a clear pathway from youth to senior levels and emphasizes developing technically skilled and tactically intelligent players. The Nomads Soccer Club promotes developing soccer players who have a feel and love for the game as well as the Club, and creates a learning environment that allows them to ascend to the best they can be on and off the field. The club demands behavior on and off the field which brings credit to the club and the players, and players and coaches will endeavor to win every game while showing respect for opponents, officials, and opposing coaches during and after the game. Talented, ambitious players are welcome at Nomads Soccer Club, and the club is looking for players at all levels to join its program. The club uses the slogan, “ONCE A NOMAD, ALWAYS A NOMAD,” and its website is powered by SportsEngine's Sports Relationship Management (SRM) software.

The leadership team includes Kwadjo Boateng as Academy Director and PJ Charest as Director of Soccer Operations and Nomads SC Executive Director, along with Derek and Mary as Nomads directors. Kwadjo Boateng holds a UEFA A Coaching License, and PJ Charest holds a USSF License. In community involvement, SDFC has announced a partnership with Nomads Soccer Club. Derek and Mary traveled to Bolivia and met the staff and administration of Tahuchi Football Club, and the Tahuchi Club is committed to coming to San Diego in 2026.
