California School of Dance Summer Camp is led by Miss Edi and Miss Ido, also known as Edilsa Armendariz and Idolina Armendariz. The mission of the program states that, while achieving excellence in ballet is essential, the role of the dance educators extends beyond teaching technique and views dance as a vital avenue for personal growth, fostering confidence, joy, and paving the way for future success. Both Edilsa and Idolina hold Progressive Ballet Technique certification.

Edilsa is a ballet teacher with over fifteen years of experience teaching students of all ages and levels. She received early training at Gloria Campobello Dance School, continued her studies at Escuela Superior de Musica y Danza de Monterrey and San Francisco Ballet School, and graduated from Escuela Nacional de Ballet (ENA) in Havana, Cuba. She has taught beginners, advanced, and pre-professional dancers and has prepared students for ballet exams, competitions, college auditions, and performances.

Idolina began her dance training at Escuela de Danza Gloria Campobello in Tijuana, Mexico, and started working as a teacher’s assistant in various dance styles at age 15, continuing until she completed her B.A. studies in 2001. She performed with Ballet del Noroeste de México in productions such as Don Quijote, Giselle, Coppélia, La Bayadere, Carmen, Les Sylphides, The Nutcracker, and Pas de Quatre.
