Palm Desert/La Quinta Roadrunners offers youth tackle football and cheer. The program is a non-profit youth tackle football program that represents both La Quinta and Palm Desert. It makes every effort to ensure every child plays and encourages all families to be involved with the program in some capacity throughout the season. Staff, coaches, and the board of directors are all unpaid volunteers.
The Palm Desert/La Quinta Roadrunners is a 501c3 non-profit organization that is part of the Southern California Jr. All American Football Conference. Going into the 2025 season, its stated goal is to develop every player who commits the time and energy to play for the Roadrunners by teaching the fundamentals to new players, building on the football IQ of returning players, and making sure each athlete finishes the season stronger than they started. The leadership team includes Barry Jones (President), Bianca Carrillo-Peralez (Vice President), Tremone Williams (Commissioner), Jose Ochoa (Deputy Commissioner), Marla Miller (Chapter AD), Candy Williams (Asst. Chapter AD), Kristina Palafox (Secretary), Joe Barragan (Equipment Manager), Teresa Jones (Treasurer), Janel Barragan (Asst. Treasurer), Gretchen Willis (Cheer Coordinator), Robert Villarreal (Public Relations), Jeremy Rodriguez (Asst. Equipment Manager), John Peralez (Member-at-Large), Louie Rodriguez (Member-at-Large), and Isaac White (Member-at-Large). The PDLQ Roadrunners rely heavily on tax deductible donations from their community and on volunteers who help put on the program each season.
